The face painting was also a favourite with the children.

Outside many of the children flocked to the trampoline, swings and slide to entertain

themselves whilst their parents enjoyed a drink upstairs in the Parish Centre.

OBEREN LECHGAUVERBAND ANNUAL MASS(25 October 2009)

On Sunday 25th October 2009 the Annual Church Parade and Mass for the Oberen Lechgauverband took place.

The Parade marched along the Kemptener Strasse towards St Mang Basilica for Mass at 1000hrs.

The Mass was scheduled early as the Füssen Police thought Mass was still at 1000hrs and not 1030hrs.

So they closed the roads earlier for the Parade!

The members were given a warm welcome by Father Dagobert Scharf OFM who celebrated the Mass.

ECUMENICAL SERVICE OPENS CITY COUNCIL(22 Oct 2009)
Video to go here later
Due to problems which beset the origional election of the city council in May 2008,it had to be disbanded according to the law.For the past few months the Mayor of Füssen has been called a king by local media outlets as he ran the place by himself. All that is now over.Following the recent election a new city council has been elected.

On Tuesday 19th October the council all gathered in St Mang Basilica for an ecumenical service led by Kaplan Julius Kreuzer(Catholic  & Reverend Joachim Spengler(Evangelical).

Special prayers were said for guidance in matters relating to their public office.Hymns were also sung, unfortuntaly as the organist forgot to tell anyone the numbers it sounded very pathetic and was not the best that we as Christians should have been offering in worship to God.The Vicar,Rev.Spengler saved the day when for the last hymn he announced the number so all could sing instead of standing in the pews in an embarrasing state. We pray that the guidance of the Holy Spirit will lead all the new city councillors to make wise decisions in their public service.

After the service all rushed away for the first meeting of the new council!

DOG TAKES LEADING PLACE FOR THE VICAR GENERAL!(11 Oct 2009)
Young Altar servers from the 4 Parishes of the Füssen Catholic Partnership
descended on the city of Augsburg,Saturday 10 October 2009.They had been promised that they would be meeting with the former Parish Priest, now Vicar General of Augsburg Diocese,

Karlheinz Knebel.Dispite the staff of the Parish all being well aware that they would not meet him,the children were not told about it!There was disappointment among the children when they realised, after they had arrived in Augsburg. The day was saved by Pralate Knebel's dog!

She was being taken for a walk by the Vicar General's housekeeper,Frau Hornsteiner, when they came across the group.Disapointment was forgotten as the children made friends with the Vicar General's dog.She even had her Dog Collar on for the occasion as she stood in for her master, meeting the servers.

The rest of the day was spent playing "Hunt the Vicar General".They visited the Cathedral, then attended Mass in the Cloister of St Elisabeth.

Father Julias Kreuzer, the Parish Curate celebrated Mass for them. Our 3 intrepid reporters covering the event then had chips and later a roll with sausage to keep their bodies fuelled for the shopping part of the trip.

In the centre of Augsburg they spent their pockect money on sweets, games for the PC and earings to name but a few.An enjoyable time was had by all and thanks go to the Curate and his adult helpers for helping them all to enjoy themselves dispite the fact they never saw the Vicar General.
